Elegance, personalised service and expert culinary skill is evident in every aspect of the dining experience at Pretty Beach House.

Dining at Pretty Beach House is an experience in itself. We proudly work alongside inspiring local producers and farmers who supply premium produce to our chefs, who then create dishes that reflect unique Australian flavours. Bespoke modern Australian menus using locally sourced seafood, outstanding organic produce and native ingredients unique to the area change daily and are highly personalised to suit your tastes and requirements.

The main house is designed for relaxation and conviviality, where all your senses will be inspired by iconic Australian artworks, the rustic-chic dining table settings and the spectacular bush and bay views. You’re invited to help yourself from the fully stocked bar and relax before dinner while taking in the stunning coastal vistas.

You can choose to dine in the spectacular dining room, casually at the bar with chef’s interaction, in the privacy of your room, or, al fresco by the pool on a lovely day or evening.

An extensive range of premium wines, beers and spirits are on offer. Each beverage is hand-picked by the house sommelier to complement the daily menus. For those looking further afield, the Pretty Beach House wine cellar, curated by owner Brian Barry, is stocked with incredible rare old and new-world wines.

 

Pretty Beach House adheres to Responsible Service of Alcohol guidelines, with beverage service concluding by 11:30pm each evening and the main house closed at Midnight.

Degustation Dinners

6pm until 8pm - Dinner is a more formal affair in the dining room. Tables are laid with elegant Busatti table linens and our personalised PBH cutlery. Menus are designed each day with the season & freshest ingredients in mind.

Expect signature risotto served on the finest locally made ceramics, or authentic slow cooked beef cheeks served on rustic pottery from the wheel of master potter Leno Alvarez from the NSW Gold mining town of Hillend.

Lunch

12.30 until 2.30 pm For lunch, the chef may suggest an antipasto, which includes salumi, pickled vegetables, eggplant caponata, and local crayfish with a garlic mayonnaise. In summer there is chilled soup such as tomato with saffron, asparagus or fresh peas. Picnic hampers may contain a delicious array of Italian style Panini with house made breads, fresh fruit, cakes and tarts.

For winter, expect hearty seafood and barley stew, winter vegetable minestrone and veal shank with farro, all served with bread baked daily in the house kitchen. A much-loved treat at Pretty Beach House is Pizza al Fresco, as the chef stokes up the poolside wood fired pizza oven.

Morning & Afternoon delights

Morning and afternoon tea is available throughout the day offering seasonal fresh fruit and a selection of biscotti, cakes and tarts. Should guests prefer, a selection of fresh breads, grissini, olives, house made pickles and a selection of cheeses are available.

Breakfast

Served daily from 8 until 10am, breakfast is casual with a touch of authentic chic as the tables are laid with Busatti taupe linen table runners. Expect fresh juices and seasonal fruits, sheeps milk yoghurt, house-made pastries, fresh sourdough breads, granola & eggs from our chickens. Relax with the paper over our signature PBH eggs and finish with a delicious blended espresso coffee.

Incredible food

The food was incredible at Pretty Beach House. Really, really delicious, words can't describe. Probably the best I had on this trip to Australia! Thank you to all the staff for looking after me so well.

Incredible 2 nights

I just wanted to reach out to share our thanks for the most amazing 2 nights stay with you. The experience was incredible from the second we arrived! We truely got to unwind, eat amazing meals, drink beautiful wines but most, my husband and I got to connect and LAUGH like we haven't in so long! Having stressful jobs and 2 small kids life is chaos. But PBH allowed us to fully unwind, reconnect and appreciate life all over again. I cannot thank you and the team enough for our beautiful stay ! We will be back!!

Heavenly Escape

Pretty Beach house is an an escape to heaven 90 minutes from Sydney CBD. Food was consistently Michelin Star. Service from Stephen, Christoph, Colin and Manon was impeccable, friendly, respectful and ultimately attentive. As only 4 couples in resort, everything is personalised. Our room (The Retreat) was spacious and well-appointed. Our plunge pool was heated and good to swim, despite unseasonable poor weather. The pool is private. This was our second visit and for the second time there was nothing I could fault. We will be back as soon as practical.

Deserves many Michelin Stars

Our Favourite

We had an amazing time in Australia. We really loved the country and the people. Each place we went was wonderful. Ironically our favorite (and the competition was fierce ) was Pretty Beach house. The experience of a 4-couple house with such personal attention has not been duplicated in all my travels. The Treetops room was wonderful. We hope to come back one day. Thank you very much.
