Pearls of Australia is home to two of Australia’s finest pearl farms – Broken Bay on the Central Coast NSW, and Cygnet Bay north of Broome WA. With over 70 years pearling experience, Pearls of Australia invites guests to some of the world’s most scenic natural environments and to experience first-hand the provenance and authenticity of the rare and valuable Australian Pearl.

Discover the untold story of the rare, locally grown Akoya Pearl. It’s a story spanning many generations, bridging cultural divides and overcoming ever changing environmental factors along the way.

Broken Bay Pearl Farm invites our guests to experience the great Australian pearling story at NSW's only pearl farm, every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. 

  • Pearl Farm Cruise - 1.5 hours on water - Starts 11am every Friday, Saturday and Sunday
  • Pearl Farm Cruise with Fisherman’s Wharf Lunch. Starts 11am every Friday, Saturday and Sunday (allow 4 hours)
  • Pearl Farm Sundowner Cruise - 1.5 hours on water - Starts 3.30pm every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with Oyster tasting on board

 

Private VIP Tours can be arranged for our guests. POA once we have your prefrerred date and expereince.

We offer a complimentary transfer service to and from the wharf. Departure is from either Pretty Beach Wharf or Killcare Wharf, depending on the tide.

For an on-land experience, visit the Shellar Door at 12 Kowan Road, Mooney Mooney NSW 2083, on the way to Pretty Beach House or on the way back to Sydney. Open every Tuesday to Sunday 9.30am-4.30pm, for tours, pearl jewellery and oyster tasting. The folk at the Shellar Door will share their passion and expertise for these incredibly rare gems of the sea.
Closest train station is Hawkesbury River (Brooklyn). Transfers available upon request and subject to availability.
